I often write about the iPhone clones and lately I’ve been approached by people who are asking me about the “new i9 with Wi-Fi.” Many people seem to confuse the CECT i9 (which does not include Wi-Fi) and the T32 (which does.) So, in this article, I’ll discuss the features of both of these phones and tell you how they differ so that you can decide which may work better for you.
The CECT i9 Clone. What It Does Have: Although this phone doesn’t have WiFi, it is a loaded clone. You can browse the Internet and message with it (via WAP Internet / MMS, SMS, MMS). It also supports Java 2.0 so that you can download and use applications, software, and gaming that will increase productivity and fun. Many people take advantage of this to use applications like Word, Outlook, and Excel. It also includes everything you might expect, such as MP3 / MP4, Bluetooth, web cam, digital camera, dual sim slots (both online at the same time), FM radio, e book reader, etc.
It is also smaller and sleeker than previous models, but it allows for more memory (up to 8GB). Finally, it has the shake and tilt feature which allows you to change songs, videos, wallpapers, etc. by just shaking the phone. This one is quad band.
The CECT T32. This Clone Has Wi-Fi And Lots More: When people mistake the i9 as described before, the clone they are usually talking about is the T32 (also known as the Daxian). The T32 also has GPS and Windows Mobile 6.0. It also includes Java (as well as all of the other standard features), which makes it one of the most complete clones on the market.
However, this one is a tri band rather than a quad band. It also does not have the “dual sim active” and the “shake and tilt” of the i9. However, if you are looking clone with Wi-Fi (or one with GPS and Windows) this is among the few on the market that has all three at the same time. It is a larger, heavier, more substantial phone than the 9. But, I believe this is because the size is needed because many folks who own this phone use it to enter information, edit, and input information away from the office or from school. Trying to compete these tasks on a smaller phone can sometimes be difficult for people with larger hands.
Generally, you’ll pay more for the T32, but it still comes in at around the $200 range (while the i9 is around $100 and up). Considering this is a true smartphone among clones without a mandated contract or carrier, many feel this is still more than fair.

Reasons Not to Own an Apple iPhone
Smartphones, PDA Phones, and the Apple iPhoneI know that some ofyou are undecided about whether you will order an iPhone or not. Inthis post, I will state some reasons…
With the unveiling of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Tube Smart Phone which is being billed as the iPhone killer, it is time to assess whether the Nokia new kid on the block can stand up to its billing or not and whether the iPhone’s days of glory are over. Let’s compare the two mobile giants and see how each of them fares.
Method of input
This Nokia comes equipped with a finger touch, stylus pen or a plectrum alternative that allows you to enter text on the touch screen. Iphone supports finger touch only.
Camera
The iPhone with a lame 2 MP camera sans flash is a clear cut loser in this category for Nokia 5800 comes equipped with an auto focus 3.2 MP built in dual flash camera with Carl Zeiss lens that will allow you to click decent pictures. It also allows superior quality VGA video recording. Thus iPhone is outperformed in every quarter in this round and is not at all recommended for serious shutterbugs.
Video recording
The iPhone allows neither video recording nor video calls. In case of Nokia, these features are standard applications.
Music
Both the Apple and the Nokia will score the same points in the music department and both are dream gadgets for music junkies. However Nokia’s Comes With Music feature, FM radio and super powerful stereo surround speakers might give it an added edge.
Display
This is where Nokia falls short a little when you pit the 3.2 inch display with the iPhone’s 3.5 inch one. But to compensate for this lack, Nokia’s resolution is 5 times better than that of the iPhone’s.
Battery
While iPhone boasts of a talk time of five to ten hours, audio playback of 24 hours and a standby time of 300 hours, the new Nokia is supposed to command a standby time of a staggering 16.7 days or 400 hours and audio playback of 36 hours, which are way ahead of the iPhone’s middling battery performance. The bottom line is that Nokia 5800 has a more powerful battery that gives it an edge over its highly hyped rival.
Cost factor
Being pegged at 220 pounds or 279 euros, the Nokia 5800 deals a severe blow to the future prospects of Apple’s costly product which is perched at a rate so steep that it is out of bounds for most. When customers will compare both the handsets and find that Nokia offers most of the sexy features of the iPhone at a price that is significantly less, they will obviously opt for Nokia for the latter also comes with the peace of mind factor and years of good will.
Verdict
After comparing all the features and the price, gadget gurus are of the opinion that the new Nokia 5800 will give the Apple iPhone a very tough competition for it and is a knock out winner in almost 99% of the categories. At the worst, it will be the same as the iPhone, but cheaper by half. That makes it a must buy for gizmo freaks.

T-Mobile G1 with Google is finally here at Fommy.com. Long-awaited Android-powered handset did not disappoint simply because it is packed with all the features any consumers can almost want. The demo has thoroughly branded in our heads that “there’s always something new to discover.” The T-Mobile G1 offers true multitasking with browsing by album or artist, Amazon one-click ordering and more. The G1’s traffic view and street view are supported and they are great features on the G1 that’s missing from the iPhone 3G, contacts pop up as you type, instant messaging the search is tailored to your actions, and you can frame with a resizable box and zoom. The real focus of the T-Mobile G1 is Open Source. Third-party applications are the heart and soul and the real future of the platform.
For T-Mobile’s G1, there will be a bundle of G1 accessories online to select from; everything from Backup Batteries to Car Accessories, Chargers, Cables, Headphones, Cradles, Bluetooth Accessories, and more. The list goes on and on, but basically the primary purposes of any G1 accessories are to add functionality, such as where you can use it and what you can use it with, make some features easier to use, and extend the use of the G1 Android phone.
Let’s face it…we’re all a little over-excited at the prospect of Google OS Android G1 phone (made by HTC) coming out on October 22nd via the T-mobile network.
I would say RIM, as a leading smartphone handset maker, has a thing or two to worry about when it comes to their BlackBerry lineup. However, when it comes to Apple, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, content is king.
What this means is that Apple and the iPhone isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, it will continue to trump all other smartphone devices. The key of course is iTunes. Apple has made very good headway into people’s lives (and pocketbooks) with all those iTunes downloads - music, movies, videos and more. And with a packed lineup of great Apps from the Apple store there’s no turning back. Then there’s iTunes U for downloading college courses and listening or watching them at your convenience.
After all is said and done, the real reason that Apple commands the smartphone kingdom is not because of the great things that the iPhone does but because of all their content.
After all is said and done, the real reason that Apple commands the smartphone kingdom is not because of the great things that the iPhone does but because of all their content.

The most common iPhone crash is one where the application you are working in suddenly ceases operation, the screen momentarily turns black, then the iPhone home screen appears. In a slightly more serious manifestation, the crash will result in a complete freeze where the iPhone is unresponsive. Your initial reaction could be… simply yank the battery to cut the power and reset the phone, but there is no batter! But let me remind you that before you do anything to your iPhone, finding out what causes the problem is necessary.
Crashes are most likely to occur when loading graphics-heavy pages, or those with large (in terms of file size) images or music. The Apple has some sort of a contingency in place for lock-ups or a frozen iPhone. Here are the safest ways to troubleshoot your iPhone when an application crashes.
The very first thing to do is to make sure that your iPhone is fully charged. You can charge your iPhone by using your iPhone AC adapter or with a high-powered USB port. Make sure that the USB port is high-powered, otherwise your iPhone will not charge. Your keyboard USB port is an example of a low powered port. If you see the red part of the battery image flash three times and then the screen goes black, this means that that the iPhone is not charging.
Restarting your iPhone is also a safe way to troubleshoot your iPhone. The iPhone is essentially a small computer and just like a regular computer, sometimes programs freeze and keep you from using the phone for anything else. In this situation, its easy to quit that program. Simply hold down the Home button at the bottom center of the phone for at least six seconds. This should quit the program and return you to the Home screen.
Once thats done… restart the phone. To restart your iPhone, hold down the sleep/wake button at the top right-hand corner of the iPhone for 10 seconds. This will bring up a screen asking you to run the slider across the screen to turn the phone off. When you slide the slider to the right, a progress wheel will appear and in a second or two, the iPhone will be off. To turn it back on again, just hold down the sleep/wake button until the Apple icon appears on the screen and then wait for the phone to start up.
To reset your iPhone is also a good way to fix a frozen iPhone. This solution fixed my iPhone. Resetting an iPhone is nothing more than a hard reset or a forced reboot. You’re simply cutting the power and making it reboot. To do this, hold the sleep/wake button and Home buttons simultaneously for a few second. The display will quickly wipe itself and you should see the black background and white Apple logo, signifying a reset well done.
Another factor that causes your iPhone to freeze is the content. This will require more than a restart, you need to remove the content that is not properly synced. It could be your contacts, calendars, songs, photos, videos, or podcasts. To do this, go to iTunes, select Preferences from the File menu, then iPhone and delete your backed up iPhone settings this includes text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings. Again, one or more of these content might be problematic.
You may also try to reset the settings of your iPhone. Go to the Settings application, tap General then select the Erase All Content and Settings. This will delete all media and data on the iPhone, as well as recent calls, etc., and all other settings.
Restoring your iPhone might be your last resort. To do this, use the latest version of iTunes, then connect your iPhone. When it appears in the Source list, click on Restore in the Summary tab. This will also wipe the iPhone and all your information on it.
As I’ve mentioned, resetting my iPhone fixed my issue and Im even jamming with my iPhone now as I write this. There are lots of ways to fix a frozen iPhone and troubleshooting your iPhone is so easy. Also, remember that you can send a crash report to Apple when your iPhone is connected providing the crash report will enable the iPhone software team to have valuable data that might be rolled into a future update.

Pros: light weight, price, brand
Cons: different buttons, more apple locations
Good all around - larger storage - decent sized screen and very light weight. Very easy to track songs down and scroll through photo album. Nothing is as useful as a GPS navigation system. A lot of people around the world are already beginning to discover the advantages of this great piece of technology….
The iPhone 3G is an extension of the earlier iPhone model. When released, iPhone had a lot of problems, they fixed some of those problems in the 3G model but they still have a long way to go before they can declare the iPhone perfect. Here I will be comparing Apple’s iPhone 3G to LG Cell Phones KU990 Viewty, and will explain in detail why the Viewty is a much better option.
Design:
Both the phones have unique design and stand out from the other phones in terms of look and feel. The dimensions of the Viewty are 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 mm, and weighs about 112 grams. On the front of the phone we have an impressive 3 inch touch screen display having a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. Below the touch screen we have 3 normal keys, the green call key, the red end key and the clear key. The clear key can be used as a backspace key in text editing or to go up one level in menu. Above the display there is a secondary VGA camera.
The iPhone 3G on the other hand has dimensions of 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3 mm and weighs about 133 grams. The iPhone 3G also has a touch screen display of about 3.5 inches and has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Below the screen it has only 1 key which is used to return back to the menu.
Connectivity:
LG Cell Phones have done a wonderful job with this phone and have added 3G capability to it. This means faster uploads and downloads. The phone is Tri-band, this means that it can be used anywhere in the world without the fear of compatibility issues. iPhone 3G, as the name indicates also has 3G capability. The iPhone can also be used anywhere in the world since it is a quad band phone but sadly it is locked to selected providers. The phone will have to be unlocked before it can be used with any operator.
If you are looking for a Wi-Fi or a WLAN phone then sadly the Viewty is not for you as it does not have any WLAN connectivity. The iPhone on the other hand can connect to wireless networks with it’s built in Wi-Fi.
In terms of Bluetooth the LG KU990 is way better than the iPhone. Although iPhone 3G has the option of Bluetooth, it can only be used for synchronization purposes. iPhone cannot transfer files via Bluetooth and since it does not have A2DP, stereo Bluetooth headsets cannot be used with the phone. The KU990 on the other hand can use all the features of Bluetooth without any problem. The phone can also be connected to a stereo Bluetooth headset.
Memory:
The LG KU990 comes with an internal memory of 100 MB. This memory can be expanded up to 2 GB via a microSD card slot, i.e. the Viewty’s memory is expandable. The LG Cell Phone comes with a USB cable and thus the phone can also be used as a storage device.
The iPhone on the other hand comes with an internal memory of 8 or 16 GB. It has no card slot therefore the memory cannot be expanded. Unlike the Viewty the iPhone cannot be used as a storage device.
Camera:
In terms of camera the LG Cell Phone is way better than the iPhone. The iPhone’s camera is only 2 mega pixel, having a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. There is no flash, no auto focus and no image stabilizer. It is a simple 2 mega pixel camera. The camera also has no option for video recording and a third party application must be used for recording videos. The recorded videos are not worth watching as they have been taken using a 2 mega pixel camera.
The LG KU990 on the other hand has a 5 mega pixel camera, with a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and unlike the iPhone it has all the advance options such as auto focus, image stabilization and various shooting modes such as landscape, beach, party, portrait, night, sport, high sensitive, continuous shot, panorama and frames. The camera also comes with a strobe flash. A strobe flash lies somewhere between an LED flash and a XENON flash. The KU990 can record videos without any third party application and can record in VGA resolution at 30 frames per second and in QVGA resolution at 120 frames per second. For those of you who did not understand the previous sentence, the video camera f the Viewty is awesome.
Conclusion:
Aside from the differences mentioned above both of the phones are almost the same, both have huge touch screen displays, they both have accelerometers to figure out if the phone I being held vertically or horizontally. Another point worth mentioning is that the iPhone cannot send multimedia messages or MMS. Some third part application has to be used for this purpose.
So the comparison clearly puts LG KU990 in the lead but die-hard apple fans will still prefer to buy the iPhone. The iPhone’s software is buggy and it freezes often. Its Safari web browser does not have java or flash capability. LG KU990 does not suffer from any of these problems. And above all the 5 Mega Pixel camera of the Viewty clearly makes it an iPhone Killer.

What is the Best Golf GPS on the Market?
Having done a lot of research and used just about every golf GPS around I am often asked what is the best golf GPS on the market. With technology moving as fast as it…
First and foremost, why would any iPhone owner want to unlock their iPhone and risk spoiling their beloved iPhones? The problem arises when iPhone manufacturers choose to release iPhone with proprietary firmware. That means the iPhone can only connect to the official carrier. As such, the use of the iPhone is limited.
On the internet, many developers have developed lots of content for iPhones. Content range from simple digital files like wallpapers and ring tones to more sophisticated applications like software and games. Without unlocking the iPhone, the owner cannot enjoy the wide variety of content that is freely available for download on the internet. In other words, it’s all about freedom - freedom to any third party applications on one’s iPhone.
In the fight for freedom, many iPhone owners are searching for simple and easy to follow instructions on how to unlock their iPhone. Such instructions can be easily found by performing a simple search on one of the major search engines. The only problem with such freely available solution is that there is no guarantee that the instructions will work. An iPhone cost a few hundred dollars, and you definitely don’t want any dubious unlocking solution to convert your iPhone into a useless piece of hardware. Fortunately, there is another solution.
Innovative and enterprising online business owners are starting new websites that offer iPhone owners unlocking solutions. These solutions may come with special software or hardware.
When choosing the ideal solution provider, make sure that the instructions are simple to follow. So far, the best solution in the market offers a one-click unlocking solution. The unlocking process is also reversible.
The major benefit of buying an off the shelf solution is that you get great support from the vendor. If you encounter any problems during any part of the unlocking process, you can always email the vendor. In any case, if the software doesn’t work, you can always ask for a full refund. So there is no risk involved. However, such circumstances are extremely rare.
On top of enjoying great support, you will also be given a chance to download lots of free content when you make a purchase. A successful unlock means that you can now freely install many third party applications. iPhone unlocking solution providers usually have a private member area, where you can proceed to download lots of cool stuff like wallpapers, games, etc.
Finally, be reminded that your iPhone firmware gets updated every now and then. That means your iPhone may be re-locked every time there is a firmware update. When you buy an iPhone unlocking software, it usually comes with unlimited lifetime updates. That means whenever the manufacturer releases a firmware update, you will also get to receive the updated software to unlock your iPhone - for free!
Given the major benefits listed above, one might expect the price for such a useful piece of software to be astronomical. However, you can expect to unlock your iPhone for an affordable one time fee of less than 50 USD. That’s a small price to pay, considering the huge amount of value that you would be getting.

Garmin Marine GPS Units Put Others Out to Sea
Garmin marine GPS units are top of the line instruments that no seaworthy traveler should be without. Garmin has been a leader in the GPS market for years, and…
There’s no shortage of the newer, smaller, and thinner iPhone clones that have come onto the market. Models like the LH01, the P168S, and i9 are often smaller and sleeker than their previous full sized counter parts. Recently, a new one has come onto the scene. It’s called the X phone and it’s more colorful, lighter and smaller than any clone you may have previously seen. I will discuss some of the features contained in this new X model in this article.
In Comparison To Others, It’s Teeny Tiny. Some Might Call It A Mini Clone: The XPhone is among the smallest knock offs on the market. It only weighs 85 grams and measures 108 X 59 X 14MM. Now, if you input a lot of data (particularly text) and you have large hands, this small size pose somewhat of a challenge at times. However, if you don’t do a lot of texting or input (or if your hands or normal sized) you should be fine. Consumers seem to prefer these smaller, lighter models as many of the new releases are becoming tinier all the time.
Dual Sim, Tri Band, And Everything Else: The XPhone is a tri band, which means that it works just about everywhere except in places that may use the 850MHZ band (there are not many, but you should check with your carrier if you have doubts.) There is no software associated with this. You just insert your sim card and the phone will read them. Speaking of the cards, this phone can accommodate two (dual sim). So, you can have two phone numbers or plans. The phones works fine if you’re only using one, but many people find this to be a very useful feature because it means that you aren’t missing calls when online.
Additionally, this phone has all of the standard features we now expect, including Bluetooth, MP3 / MP4, FM radio, handwriting recognition, digital camera and a web cam, as well as the ability to browse the web, email, etc. This phone supports GPRS, WAP, SMS, and MMS.
Shake Control, Shake To The Music, Tilt The Picture, Etc.: The X Phone has the “shake control” feature which, although it’s called by many different names, has really begun to become main stream. This used to only be on a few models like A88, A380i and HiPhone, but now many new models are beginning to include this one. It allows you to advance music and media by only shaking the phone forward. You can do the same with wallpaper, photos, and video. Also, the phone will right itself and take the photo from portrait to landscape no matter which way you tilt it.
Cool Colors: Other than the size, the most notable thing about this phone is the choice of colors. It comes in gold, blue, red, silver and black. Gold is very popular.
Pricing: The cost of these phones is all over the place right now. I’ve seen them as low as $110 and as high as $180. I suspect this will stabilize after the newness of this model wears off a bit.
