One of the biggest challenges that I have with my Apple iPhone is that the battery power does not last very long. In fact, I don’t believe that there are very many PDA phones out there that have a long lasting battery. If you don’t manage your usage of the Apple iPhone you can find yourself out of juice.
Just think about all of the incredible things that you are asking your Apple iPhone to do, such as listening to music, checking email, surfing the web and also showing up photos and videos especially videos. You’ll quickly realize that the battery drains very quickly. I’ll give you some tips on how to extend your iPhone battery life.
The Apple website does gives some explanation about what to expect from your battery. They advise you to one use one application at a time, for example. But, hey, that’s not realistic, especially for power users like me. I like to run multiple applications so that I can be most productive. However, advises that multi-tasking will reduce your battery life.
I’ve learned though, that there are several things that you can utilize to extend your battery power throughout the day. If you try these techniques you’ll be able to use your iPhone the whole day. So, let me first mention the simplest trick is to turn off Bluetooth when you’re not on a call. The reason for this is simple. Bluetooth checks for a Bluetooth device on a regular basis. This “checking” reduces your battery power without you realizing it. It is constantly searching for other Bluetooth devices to connect with. If you’re not looking to pair with a Bluetooth device, its best to turn it off.
Another simple thing to do is press the lock key on the iPhone. Once you’ve finished using the phone or checking email, make sure to lock your iPhone. Many people just put their iPhone in their pockets and wait for the iPhone to turn off by itself. This also drains the iPhone power because the screen has not turned completely off. You can also set your iPhone for auto lock after a certain number of minutes, which is a smart thing to do.
Now, what about some other simple tips to extend your iPhone’s battery life? With the advent of the Apple iPhone 3G, the new 3G network requires a lot more power than the old Edge network. So, you can save battery life, simply by using the Edge network, rather than the 3G network. This is especially true if you are not currently surfing the Internet. There is no need for fast speeds when simply making a phone call or checking email.
There you have it. Some simple techniques to extend your iPhone’s battery life.

In order to discover the wonders of iPhone technology, one must sink into its different parts and features, although in this edition, there are top 5 iPhone facts that one must be aware of, from the release to the different applications it supports. Some might find it to be an advantage and some, a disadvantage.
Either way, good or bad, here are some of the facts you need to know.
Supports video generating websites
Mobile phones were considered as a means of communication in the past times. Text messaging was then the single most important use of a cell phone and was one of the main features of mobile manufacturers. Today, the youth seem to convey the importance of having a mobile phone which can browse and even stream music videos and movies from their source.
On the other hand, while some are very well satisfied with the performance of the device in terms of surfing through the net and checking out important e-mails, others are still unconvinced on the matters of its connectivity edge via Wi-Fi because of the precaution that access will not be as smooth as expected.
Supports iTunes
Apple has accomplished this very vital part of human’s melodic life. Many people purchasing the phone had the sole reason of having one because of the musical features. Other phone manufacturers have tried putting up a model that will sufficiently feature downloading songs the easy way. There are a lot of struggles done in order to put up with the idea of organizing a multimedia management through phones basing from multimedia order. Technically, iPhone has successfully done its part in managing this kind of predicament and has filled up files with top rating contents of the multimedia field.
Interface based on the user
Mac OS X is a kind of user interface which is primarily featured by Apple. Although, it has been easier for competitors to replicate the idea. Apple has decided not to open to developers belonging from a third party. The downfall of those who replicates the idea of having user interface is that it becomes a hassle instead of an advantage because of slow loading and sometimes, it never gets to the loading part at all.
Screen display
The display is always considered as Apples pride. The phones display is about 3.5 inches with a 320 x 480 pixels display. The touch screen feature made it impossible for other competitors to beat Apple from the point of view of market value and capability of mobile phones. Upgrading surface display to a high quality optical glass from plastic is one of the major factors why the device has become more scratch-proof. The more reason why people love it compared to other devices.
Release reviews
There are many complaints regarding the release of the device. Although, this didnt stop the manufacturer to introduce it to the technological world. It has a retail price of $499 that is tagged for the 4 GB storage and $599 for the 8 GB storage. The contract was signed for AT&T for two years. Compared to other phones that has already been released and made ground breaking moments through the communication world, the price tag was quite reasonable and has proven its worth.
It has become record-breaking that Apple reached its mark and was well-appreciated by advocates around the world.

The iPhone 3G vs. Palm’s Treo Smartphone. How Do The Screen and Application Download Stack Up?
I’ve been a Palm Treo Smartphone fan ever since the Treo 600 was introduced about 5 years ago. Who could have imagined the power in one’s hands of a device that could do email, show photos, and add cool applications just by synching to your PC.
I primarily used productivity apps, like mortgage calculators, Powerpoint, Excel viewers and security software. But, I was also so enamored with the utility of the device that I added things like SplashPhoto to view photos of my family and friends … all on that gorgeous 240 x 240 screen!
I upgraded to each new release of the Treo … from the 600 to the 650 and then the 700p. I even got my friends to buy a Treo. When Apple released its first iPhone, I scoffed at my buddies who bought it. I told them that it was a mere toy and not a real productivity device, even though it was also a bluetooth smartphone, like my Treo.
I was determined to stick by my Treo, not just because it was a great productivity device, but also because I had spent so much money on Palm applications … viewers, presentation software, and utilities.
Then the fateful day, July 11, 2008 arrived … a day that will live in infamy in my life. Apple launched the iPhone 3G. What was sorely lacking in the 2G version was now available in abundance on the 3G … 3G connectivity for fast Internet access when not using WIFI and an application download store to make any geek happy.
I stood in line that day to get one of the first 3G phones. I got the white one, mind you. After playing with it for the last 3 months, I must say it is an incredibly fun device. Did I say gorgeous 240 x 240 screen on my Treo 700p? Try 320 x 480 for the iPhone. Photos are stunning and video is engaging to say the least.
There are so many cool things that you can do with your iPhone … things that you could only drool over in anticipation on the Treo. Consider again, the screen size. I had subscribed to the “all you can eat Internet” on Sprint. I was a proud Treo Internet surfer. But surfing on a 240 x 240 screen is nowhere near as exciting as it is on a 320 x 480 screen.
In fact, the one of the nicest features of the iPhone is its ability to zoon in on the website and / or photo and keep the “text crispness” of the original site. So “what you see is what you get” on the Treo pales in comparison to the iPhone’s “what you want is what you see.”
This is just the beginning of the battle of “PDA” devices. Clearly, Apple did its homework to hit a sweet spot for users like me who want a device that’s part way and ALL play.
There are so many other comparisons both pros and cons between the two devices. For this article, one point goes to Apple.
David Chan shares his first hand experience working on the iPhone and the iPhone applications. There’s so much more to the iPhone than it’s pretty face. You’ll also see why Apple is clearly in the lead when it comes to designing a simple and useable device for the average person. Compare Golf GPS Models
Until fairly recently I did not know that one could even use such a thing for GPS to assist with playing golf. Once I found out though it became quite a task to…
Yesterday, I had someone approach me that asked about the “pink iPhone clone.” First, I thought the person was talking about a skin or custom cover that was pink in color and designed for a knock off. Then, when she assured me that she was not talking about a skin, I figured that she meant the Xphone, as this newer iPhone clone comes in many custom colors like red, gold, blue, and silver. But, she persisted that she was actually talking about a pink CECT i9. So, of course, I had to investigate and I found out that she was indeed right. There are a few sellers who have come up with a way to customize plates on the i9 to make the phone any color you can imagine (pink is very popular). There is even a gay pride model that comes in a rainbow of colors.
But, this is very different than the XPhone, which comes standard with the colors I’ve already listed (as well as black if this is what you want). So, as I can now see that people may confuse these two phones, I’ll go over their differences (and similarities) in this article.
Tri band Versus Quad Band: The XPhone is a tri band and the i9 is a quad band. Both will usually work for most GSM carriers, but if you are on the 850MHz band, you’ll most likely need a quad band. You can check with your carrier to be sure.
Similarity In Features, (Including Shake Control And Dual Sim): These phones are both very similar to one another, since they are both iPhone clones that has all of the features we’ve come to expect from these knock offs (Bluetooth, Internet, MP3 / MP4, radio, handwriting recognition, camera / web cam, etc.) And, both have the very popular novelty feature called “shake and tilt” or “swing to the music” that allows you to forward songs, music and video by shaking the phone. This also means that you can tilt the phone to move the image from portrait to wide screen.
Also, both phones have two sim slots which allows for two numbers or networks. This is probably the most popular feature on most clones. The difference here is that the CECT i9 has dual sim active whereas the X has dual sim standby. This means that the i9 allows both cards to be online at once, while you have to switch back and forth between the two with the X model. (Most people don’t find this to be a big deal though.)
Java Support On The i Model: Probably the feature that makes the i9 so popular is the fact that it is one of the few models that supports Java. This means that you can download third party games, applications and software via Java 2.0. Many people take advantage of the gaming this offers, but many also use it for Microsoft productivity software like Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
The XPhone does not have this feature, so if this is a deal breaker for you, but you still want a color other than black, you may be better off with the specialty color option on the i9.
Price: The price on both of these phones is very similar and is usually not a deal breaker either way. Depending on how much memory the phones have, you’ll likely pay somewhere in the $100 - $150 range.

I don’t think that I was the only one who was very happy when the CECT T32 first came out. The iClone’s are awesome phones, but one common complaint about them is that they weren’t true “smart phones” as they didn’t have Java, Wi-Fi, or Windows - so you couldn’t really use the useful and popular Microsoft applications like Outlook, Word, etc.
The T32 changed all of that and it is a very popular phone. However, with the recent release of the M88, the T32 now has a run for it’s money. Many people get these phones confused, so this article will attempt to point out the features and specs on the CECT M88.
The 32 (or Daxian X999 as it is sometimes called) has WiFi, Windows, And GPS. The HiTune T68 has Windows and the i9 has Java, so these features are not unheard of on the knocks offs but very few have all of them in one phone. Granted, there is a large subset of people who don’t want or need all of these features, but those who do are beginning to have more and more choices.
Unlike the 32, the 88 is quad band which allows many AT&T users access to the phone. (You can check with your carrier to see which you need.)
It also has the “touch” interface which is also called “menu flow in and out” which allows you to scroll around and edit with just your fingers. It is fully loaded with all of things we’ve come to know and love about the replicas. You can browse the web, check your email, text and message. You can view video on the MP4 and listen to music on the MP3. There is an FM radio, an e book reader and handwriting recognition. The digital camera is a bit of an upgrade here (it also doubles as a web cam) at 2.0 mega pixels (as opposed to 1.3). The phone also has Bluetooth and has expandable memory.
Tons of game downloads are available for this via Java, but I’ve noted that more people are attracted to it because of it’s productivity. They like the ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, MSN, etc - basically all of the Microsoft applications that you might use at the office.
Note though that some sellers use different names for this phone. However, most phones sold as a M88 are not dual sim. It is single sim. It also does not have the “shake and tilt” feature. But, I think the manufacturers are banking on the fact that a very specific consumer is going to want this phone - and these two features are thought to be more novelty than productivity.
One other thing I think this phone has going for it is the fact that it is a larger or standard size. Many of the new “minis” can make it a bit difficult to fully take advantage of all the applications. Entering documents into the smaller phones can be slow and tedious, but this one is large enough for speed and accuracy.
The M88 (often also called the MiPhone) is often a bit cheaper than the CECT T32, depending upon the memory. Usually, you’ll find these in the lower to mid $200s for a new one. Sometimes, though, you can find a used one or luck out at under $200.
