Last year, when I first began writing about the P168 iClone, I thought that the fanfare surrounding it would last for a couple of months and then die down. But, that didn’t turn out to be the case at all. What used to seem experimental or new has now become somewhat main stream. This clone is now respected for it’s own unique features and rightly so. It offers so much for so little money and it’s now widely available. It’s no longer difficult to get this phone, or information about it’s use, settings, instructions, and extras. There are entire sites and forums dedicated entirely to it. But, I still regularly get questions about it on my iClone blogs, so today, this article will discuss why I still think this phone is one of the best.
Unique And Plentiful Features: I believe this phone endures because it offers features that are unique to CECT for so little money. Dual sim was sort of a novelty at first, but now many consumers find it very useful. This allows you to have two numbers or plans for the price of one. Many people use one for business and one for personal use, and some use one for data / web browsing and one for talking and texting.
You could always do everything with this phone that you could do with the iPhone - that includes web browsing, texting, emailing, MP3s / MP4s, Bluetooth, and taking photos. This one has FM radio as well. And, the firmware is extremely similar to the iPhone - ensuring the longevity of this model.
Changing With The Times: There have been many versions of this phone (although the original remains the most popular.) If you want the shake and tilt feature, check out the P168S. If you want to have both sim cards on line at once, check out the P168C. And, the plus model of this phone added an additional band, making this version of the phone a quad band. This company is very good about listening to what consumers want in a phone and quickly providing it on the cheap. You can get just about any feature that you want in one of these replicas.
The Quality Remains Excellent: When I let people see or play with my phone, they are often surprised at how sturdy it is and how responsive the touch screen is. This is not a cheap, inferior knock off, in my humble opinion. The sound, picture, video, and photo quality is very good. These phones are known for their excellent speakers, which are loud and crisp.
They’re Cheap: Perhaps the biggest reason this phone has endured is the fact that it has always been very aggressively priced. This phone came out of the gate at around $100 and as it’s popularity increased, it became more widely available and the price stayed low. Even the newer versions (the plus and the S and C models) remain in the low $100 range. This and the fact that you are getting so many features with out having a contract if you don’t want it, has ensured that folks like me are pretty happy with and loyal to these phones.

Considering the tough market competition, it is not surprising that GPS navigation kits have evolved to become more sophisticated. Today, users of GPS units ranging…
Introduction
The Apple Macintosh is basically a computer manufacturing company. It is also known for giving the world laptops and world class iPods. It has now ventured into the cell phone market and has introduced revolutionary products to its credit, the latest one being the “Apple iPhone”.
The making of Apple iPhone
The Apple iPhone is a hand set with a wide screen and touch control features. It is a revolutionary cell with latest internet communication facilities all in one piece. The Apple iPhone measures 115 x 61 x 11.6 mm or 4.5 x2.4 x 0.46inches. It weighs about 135 grams. The front has a huge screen, with a tiny speaker above it and a “Home” button below it. There is no keyboard or even the number pad; it just has the screen and a button below it. On the left side, it has a volume rocker and a button which can be used for ringing or to put it into silent mode. It also has a standard 3.5 mm headset jack, a tray for the SIM card, and the Sleep/Wake button. On the bottom, it has the speaker, microphone, and the standard 30-pin iPod dock connector. With the help of this dock it charges and syncs. It is compatible with the existing iPod docks. On the back, it has a 2M P camera on the top left corner.
Other Features
This Apple mobile phone can be called widescreen iPod with touch screen and which lets you enjoy all music, audio tracks, music videos, TV shows, and movies all in a much crystal clear 3 and ½ inches widescreen. Another good feature about the iPhone is that it easily synchronizes the content from the iTunes, songs or video library on your PC or iMac just by the gentle touch on the screen. The salient features of the iPhone are unbeatable.
Salient features of the apple iPhone

Golf GPS Reviews
In countless fields of business, entertainment, health and medicine, Global Positioning System (GPS) is widely utilized. It’s no longer new to our sense of hearing…
In today’s economy, many folks are seeking better, lower prices for almost all services and the “extras” like cell phones (and their services), Internet, and cable are sometimes the first to go. It doesn’t make sense to pay for what you don’t use, but it’s hard to forego the latest technology, as for many people, staying connected and available is a necessity and not a luxury.
Luckily, in the world of cell and smart phones, the costs of the “latest technology” is lowering all the time, due to increased competition among carriers and cell phone companies, (including over seas clones that don’t have to worry about advertising or marketing costs.) I’ve always been a big fan of the clones. They provide all of the features of the iPhone (including some bonuses), without the costs and they allow you to chose your own carrier. This article will focus on what is probably one of the most popular knock offs on the market today - the i9.
But, before I go into the i9 and why I think it’s such a great alternative to the iPhone, I want to discuss why this phone is such an upgrade from previous models. Probably the best selling clone of all time is the CECT P168. This phone really put the replicas on the map and got a lot of attention because it had dual sim slots, a removable battery (huge at that time) and an FM radio. Sure, it was met with a little skepticism, but once video of this phone starting circulating the web and the reviews started to come out, most people were willing to give it a try since it was so much cheaper than the original and was contract free.
However, once the novelty started to wear off, consumers started to voice their concerns about what they wanted in the next generation of iClones. The P168 was only tri band and it did not support Java (third party applications (apps) and software) nor did it have what was becoming the popular “shake and tilt” feature. (This allows you to scroll through music and video only by shaking the phone. The picture will also always right itself no matter which way you turn the phone.)
The i9 is the phone that answers all of these concerns. It is quad band. It supports Java and allows for thousands of games and software like SKYPE, MSN, Outlook, Excel, etc. And, it does have the “shake to the music” feature that many have grown to appreciate.
There are a few other upgrades to this as well. This phone can support up to 8GB of memory (as opposed to the first generation’s 2 GB) and it is slimmer, sleeker, and faster than the earlier models. It’s no longer quite as clunky and fat.
It has upgraded firmware and the “flow touch” that is so popular on the original. I find both the sound and photo quality on this phone to be very good.
Price wise, this phone is pretty attractive. Depending on how many GB are included, this phone is sometimes in the lower $100 range. And, you can chose your own GSM carrier, which can mean a lot in today’s economy.

Golf GPS Systems
Global Positioning System, or GPS, is a navigation system that uses satellites to show its location on the planet. The system offers reliable positioning and…
The other day, I had someone contact me on one of my blogs asking if I thought it would make sense to get the iPod touch just for web surfing. Since they were under the impression that none of the clones had WiFi, they wanted the iTouch for the web browsing. They did not want to have to pay a lot of money for a monthly data package and since they already had a low cost cell phone and plan that they liked, they reasoned that they’d get the Touch just so they could get online.
I responded that I have nothing at all against the Touch, I’m sure it would work fine for these purposes. However, I explained that there are actually a few clones that do have WiFi, so he could actually get web browsing, phone capabilities, MP3 / MP4, Bluetooth, digital camera / web cam, FM radio, etc. without ever having to leave the carrier he’s with now (assuming he has a GSM carrier). This article will focus on one of the clones that I suggested, the M88 smartphone, and will describe some of the features that make this one of the smartest clones on the market.
The M88 And WiFi (as well as GPS and Windows): Other than the CECT T32, the M88 is one of the few decent clones that offers Wi Fi. But, it also has GPS and Windows Mobile 6.0. Many people really like having Windows on their phone since many use this at the office as well. You can also use applications and software like SKYPE, MSN, Mobile QQ, Word, Excel, MSN Chat, and read / view PDF / PPT documents.
The M88 And Java: It wasn’t until recently that the iPhone clones started offering Java support in models like the i68 (SciPhone) and the i9. This phone supports Java as well and has a very nice gaming experience. There are literally thousands of games available for download, including NES and Java QQ. This phone vibrates during games which my kids really like.
The TV Out Feature: The MiPhone, (as this phone is also sometimes called), has what is called the “TV out” feature, which means that you can hook the phone up to a TV to show the video stored on the phone on a larger screen. So, say you take video of your kid’s soccer game for his grandparents. They aren’t stuck squinting to watch the game on a tiny screen. They can watch it on your TV just by connecting the phone.
This phone doesn’t have the “shake and tilt” feature, though. But most people who want this phone are more interested in productivity and find shake control a bit “quirky.”
Quad Band Upgrade: Of the two smartphones I mentioned before (the T32 and this one) only this model is quad band. The difference is the 850 MHZ band (some AT&T customers and some Cingular folks are on this). Many people are totally fine with a tri band, but if you are on the 850 MHZ, you will need a quad band.
Camera(s) Upgrade: This phone actually has two cameras. The main camera is 2 mega pixels, which is better than most clones, which have 1.3 MPs. This phone also has a spare camera which is 0.3 aka VGA. I’m not sure what the point of this is. I only use the 2MP camera.
Expandable Memory And Transferring Data: You can transfer data with a USB data cable (which usually comes with the phone) or via memory card.
Price wise, this phone is typically well less than an iTouch (usually around $200 - $250, depending upon memory) and you’re free to use your own carrier. You also have all of the other goodies typical of an iPhone.

Garmin GPS Navigation Refurbished Unit - Economical And Most Efficient
As far as navigation systems, tracking devices and other gps gadgets go there is not a single doubt that the Garmin Company is definitely one of the premiere…
Announced to start November 14-th this BlackBerry Storm positioned as “iPhone killer”. Well, will it? Let’s have a closer look for BlackBerry vs iPhone 3G battle.
Dimensions and design
BlackBerry Storm is smaller vs iPhone but somehow thicker. iPhone looks IMHO more stylish.
+1 for iPhone
Screen
Like iPhone BlackBerry Storm has a bright and clear touch screen, but has a click-push button effect that brings a new tactile experience to a Gadget and Gizmos world.
+1 for BlackBerry Storm
Interface
Both iPhone and BlackBerry Storm have touch screen user interfaces with horizontal and portrait views (both auto rotating), scrolling, pan and zoom options. iPhone’s interface looks somehow clear and better.
+1 for iPhone
Dialing
Similar to iPhone dialing screen with quick contacts dialing, BlackBerry Storm has a voice dialing option.
+1 for BlackBerry Storm
Messaging
As iPhone BlackBerry Storm has a full bunch of messaging options, but has no iPhone’s biggest gaps - it has Copy-Paste option, message forwarding and delivery confirmation reports with no additional manipulations needed.
+2 for BlackBerry Storm
Browser
BlackBerry Storm is equipped with a real-HTML browser quite similar iPhones. It has zooming options and page cashing. Actually at the moment there is no information if Storm’s browser is Flash capable while iPhone is known as none.
Media
Both BlackBerry Storm and iPhone have music and video players, BlackBerry Storm is a little more useful while allows you to upload you MP3 stuff with no need to have iTunes or smht on the PC you are downloading from that makes the process easier. Actually, if you are iTunes fan - it’s a bug +Plus for buying iPhone decision, but if you aren’t - ability to get stuff not only by “iTuned” PC or Mac will make you choose BlackBerry Storm.
Apps
BlackBerry Storm comes with a lot of preinstalled stuff. Well, it can be quite enough for you and you’ll never need for smth else. iPhone’s big +Plus it’s, sure, AppStore. BlackBerry-lovers will argue that it has a lot of applications for BlackBerry available, but friendly speaking, it is incomparable with Apple’s AppStore.
+2 for iPhone
Camera
BlackBerry Storm allows to make 3.2MPx vs iPhone out-of-date 2.0 MPx pictures and it records video. I should mention that BlackBerry Storm has built-in flash that makes this gadget’s camera much more useful.
+2 for BlackBerry Storm
Maps
Both devices has maps using built-in GPS.
Interfaces
Both devices has mini-jack phones connector, BlackBerry Storm has microSD(TM)/SDHDA slot that gives you ability not just to increase available memory capacity (iPhone is 16Gb maximum), but use your computer card reader to simply download / upload all your stuff. And, sure, you can have more than one card (it’s 16Gb cards available in the market, but, hope, it will take not much time for 32 and more).
+1 for BlackBerry Storm
Availability and Prices
Both gadgets are about $200 with all-that d**n plans, but BlackBerry Storm gives you ability to use any other 3G network - if its actually critical for you.
The Conclusion
Well, simply counting we’ll get +4 for iPhone vs +7 for BlacvBerry Storm. But… what are these “pluses” equal? iPhone pluses for design, user interface, iTunes and AppStore vs BlackBerry Storm - for camera, copy-paste, messaging and flash card. It’s up to you what do you need more.

Portable GPS Map Units - How You Can Use Them
Portable GPS maps units can be helpful in a number of ways. If you have this wonderful handheld GPS tool with you, you can give free reign to the explorer in you and…
Apple 3G I phone is a state of the art mobile phone recently launched by Apple. It is one of a kind phone. The dimensions of the phone are as follows: Measurements: 4.5 inches (115.5 mm) in height, 2.4 inches (62.1 mm) Width, 0.48 inch (12.3 mm) in depth, 4.7 ounces (133 grams) in weight. The 3G technology allows users to surf the net faster compared to other service providers and also enables reading of mails, and web surfing. The other advantage of iPhone 3G is that you can talk on the iPhone and surf the Internet simultaneously, which was not possible earlier. Another great feature is the GPS system. The GPS system allows you to see the directions, find locations and check the traffic as well.
The phone has multi touch technology and the phone can be controlled by your fingers only. You can scroll through the pictures and zoom in your fingers. iPhone responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer. The phone also contains two internal sensors that change the screen resolutions according to the change in environment. The battery life is also very good with up to 300 hours of standby time. There’s no dock included, just a USB power adapter and dock connector. The camera is still a 2 mp one which remains below par. The speaker is also very quiet and thus speaker conversations are almost impossible. The biggest disadvantage of the 3G iphone is that it lacks video recording feature.
The 3G iphone is half the price of the older one. The Black iPhone 3G with 8 GB storage costs $199 and The Black or White iPhone 3G with 16 GB storage costs $299. Although the features in the phone are great and its cheaper too but still most of the customers don’t seem to be satisfied with the phone because of the lack of some very basic features like voice dialing and video recording. It is better than the previous models and some basic changes can propel it to be the best among the rest.

Compare Golf GPS Models
Until fairly recently I did not know that one could even use such a thing for GPS to assist with playing golf. Once I found out though it became quite a task to…
For a while, it seemed that the CECT P168 (the original iClone) was the king of the hill. This phone, which improved upon the original, was fully loaded, user friendly, and priced to sell. This dominance lasted for well over a year, until a quad band version came out and stole a bit of the thunder. More recently, a couple of other new introductions have given this first model a real run for it’s money. These are the M88 (aka MiPhone) and the i9 (aka CECT i9). Both are great phones, but they differ from one another in a few ways. I’ll discuss how in this article to help you decide if either would meet your needs.
Features: Both of these phones are considered fully loaded with web browsing, bluetooth, messaging, email, MP3 / MP4, digital camera / web cam, FM radio, and e book reader. And, both of these are quad bands, which means that they offer coverage for nearly all GSM sim carrier worldwide.
Both have Java support, which for most people is huge. The original clones did not have Java which meant that you couldn’t download third party software and applications. Both of these phones now allow for this, which gives you literally thousands of gaming options as well as software and apps. like SKYPE, MSN chat, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
The Major Differences Between The M88 And The i9: Here are a few of the major differences. The MiPhone has WiFi, GPS, and Windows Mobile 6.0, which makes is much more of a “smartphone”. The i9 does not have this.
But, in contrast, the i9 has “shake and tilt control” wherein you can advance songs and media only by shaking the phone. The M88 doesn’t have this - nor does it have the “dual sim active” feature which allows you to use both sim slots at the same time, without having to switch back and forth between them. And, the 9 can hold up to 8GB of memory.
Size And Speed Differences: The i9 is a smaller, sleeker phone. The 88 is larger, but this is on purpose because you need a full sized phone in which to use all of the productivity tools that define it.
Which Is Better? So, which is better for you? That depends greatly on what you want in a phone. I find that the M88 appeals to folks who are going to use the phone for productivity and who will be imputing data away from the office - in short, they want a smart phone. The i9 appeals more to people who value entertainment (music, videos, games) etc. And while they do take advantage of the productivity that Java offers, it’s not the most important thing to them.
Price wise, the M88 is a bit more expensive because it has more smartphone features. The 9 runs in the low $100 range, while the 88 can be about $100 more, depending on where you get it and how much memory is included. Still, there are generally different audiences for both phones and both seem to find the price appealing.
