Since I often write about the import clones, I sometimes get emails from my blog. One of the more recent, common questions is “what or which iPhone clones have Java?” To answer this question, there are only a few, that in my opinion, are decent and loaded. These are the M88 and the T32. In this article, I will go over some of the features of the T32 Wi-Fi to help you decide if it may be a good phone or a good fit for you.
The Long Awaited Trinity: Wi-Fi, Windows Mobile 6.0, and GPS: The iPhone clones have pretty much been called “smartphones” from the start. That’s because the Chinese manufacturers threw everything but the kitchen sink into these phones. You can browse the web, use Bluetooth, listen to MP3s, watch MP4s, take photos, take video, listen to the radio and read e books.
But, after a while, consumers start to call for a “real smartphone” among the clones. They wanted a phone comparable to the original or to phones like Rimm’s Blackberry or the Nokia N95. They wanted phones that were more like true PDAs with a Windows interface. This process was extremely slow going. Even on the Chinese clone of the Nokia N95, GPS was lacking. The T32 was the first really decent attempt at having all three of these features in one phone.
Other Features And Specs Of The CECT T32: As mentioned before, the T32 has everything you’ve come to expect from the clones. It has 2GB of expandable memory and is a tri band phone. It is contract free. You insert a sim card from any applicable GSM carrier and you are good to go. This allows for a lot of flexibility with which type of plan you need (or don’t need.) The phone on this one is also a bit of an upgrade, at 2MPs as opposed to the typical 1.3 MPs on many clones. It also has the popular Java 2.0, that is included in many of the newer clones. This allows for third party downloads, applications, and software. So again, it’s more of a “smartphone / PDA” experience.
This phone is not considered a mini. It’s full sized, and feels, looks and acts like the iPhone more, in my opinion, than many of the others. The full size allows for comfortable texting, data entry, reading, scrolling, and editing.
Pricing On The T32: The cost of this phone is not as bad as you might expect. It is one of the more expensive models on the market, (usually in the $200 and up range) but it is also the most loaded and probably the most complete as well.
