I have several blogs that discuss some of the features and specs of the dual sim, import iPhone clones. Recently, I’ve begun getting a lot of requests for information about the “i9 iPhone.” The question refers to the CECT i9, which is a clone or knock off from the Chinese manufacturer who first introduced the extremely popular original iClone P168. This is actually an upgraded, newer model that improves upon that original. I’ll explain how in this article.
Moving From Tri Band To Quad Band: The early clones were tri bands that worked on most GSM networks. This allowed coverage for most, but not all, consumers worldwide. Later, the P168+ Plus came out that added the last 850 MHZ band, making for a quad band. The i9 is an upgrade of this model, so it covers nearly all GSM networks that use a sim card.
Adding Java: One common complaint of the original iPhone clones was that you couldn’t download additional games, applications or software. The i9 is one of the first clones to include Java 2.0 so this is no longer a problem. This phone allows for Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. There’s also tons of gaming possibilities as well.
Dual Sim Active: The older clones did have dual sim slots which allowed you to have two plans or phone numbers. Many people use this to have a talk or unlimited minute plan on one sim and a data plan on another, without being bound to a contract. However, with the old clones, you had to switch back and forth between them. This isn’t so with the i9 as both can be online at once.
Shake And Tilt: The original P168 did not have shake control or the ability to change the music and video by just shaking the phone. This feature debuted and were very successful on models like the HiPhone and the A88. The i 9 includes this feature, which most people tend to like, although some don’t see the need for it.
Up To 8GB Of Memory (Much More Than The Original): The original clones could expand to old up to 2GB. This was and still is sufficient, but for those who feel they need more memory and / or speed, this new one can hold up to 8.
Smaller And Sleeker: Many people have told me that they’d love an iPhone or one of it’s clone, but they have found the phone too large, bulky, and heavy. The new “mini” category helped answer this complaint. The 9 is in this category as it weighs only 95 grams and is also skinnier and shorter than the originals.
Nothing has been taken away from the original. This upgrade still allows for WAP web browsing, email and texting, SMS, MMS, Bluetooth, web cam, digital camera, MP3 / MP4, and FM radio, all without a contract. The quality of these phones may surprise you. The speakers are particularly good.
And, the price is still attractive. This model, even with it’s upgrades, still falls in the $100 range, with the 8GB models being a bit more.

The history of DVD to iPod, Zune, PSP, Pocket PC Video Converter
The technology advances so fast that you may not be aware of the history of each small improvement. The history of DVD to iPod, Zune, PSP, Pocket PC Video…
Since I often write about the import clones, I sometimes get emails from my blog. One of the more recent, common questions is “what or which iPhone clones have Java?” To answer this question, there are only a few, that in my opinion, are decent and loaded. These are the M88 and the T32. In this article, I will go over some of the features of the T32 Wi-Fi to help you decide if it may be a good phone or a good fit for you.
The Long Awaited Trinity: Wi-Fi, Windows Mobile 6.0, and GPS: The iPhone clones have pretty much been called “smartphones” from the start. That’s because the Chinese manufacturers threw everything but the kitchen sink into these phones. You can browse the web, use Bluetooth, listen to MP3s, watch MP4s, take photos, take video, listen to the radio and read e books.
But, after a while, consumers start to call for a “real smartphone” among the clones. They wanted a phone comparable to the original or to phones like Rimm’s Blackberry or the Nokia N95. They wanted phones that were more like true PDAs with a Windows interface. This process was extremely slow going. Even on the Chinese clone of the Nokia N95, GPS was lacking. The T32 was the first really decent attempt at having all three of these features in one phone.
Other Features And Specs Of The CECT T32: As mentioned before, the T32 has everything you’ve come to expect from the clones. It has 2GB of expandable memory and is a tri band phone. It is contract free. You insert a sim card from any applicable GSM carrier and you are good to go. This allows for a lot of flexibility with which type of plan you need (or don’t need.) The phone on this one is also a bit of an upgrade, at 2MPs as opposed to the typical 1.3 MPs on many clones. It also has the popular Java 2.0, that is included in many of the newer clones. This allows for third party downloads, applications, and software. So again, it’s more of a “smartphone / PDA” experience.
This phone is not considered a mini. It’s full sized, and feels, looks and acts like the iPhone more, in my opinion, than many of the others. The full size allows for comfortable texting, data entry, reading, scrolling, and editing.
Pricing On The T32: The cost of this phone is not as bad as you might expect. It is one of the more expensive models on the market, (usually in the $200 and up range) but it is also the most loaded and probably the most complete as well.

Finally, you have the time to sit back, relax and watch a movie on your iPhone. But you noticed that the screen is showing a letterbox image. This is when there are two black lines under and above the picture, which gives you a wider view. You want to watch the movie in full screen so you played around… you finally figured out on how to view it in full screen but it took you a while. You could have saved your time, if only you knew the art of double tapping your iPhone screen the iPhone’s best trick!
You can easily view the movie in full screen version by simply double tapping the screen. However, the full screen version may cut off the words if you’re watching a movie with subtitle. To turn your screen back to letterbox view, just double tap your iPhone screen again.
Yes, the iPhone’s user interface is definitely one of the best and most leading edge features of the iPhone. Nothing compares to the amazing user experience that the Apple iPhone can give. When the Apple iPhone arrived without the handy stylus or a hard keyboard, many were bothered… but not until they have uncovered one of the iPhone’s best tricks, the art of double tapping your iPhone screen.
Altough getting familiar with the iPhone’s cool applications and great features can be easy as 1-2-3, many people still have missed the trick because they have not taken the time to learn the secrets of their iPhone. To help you with this issue, here’s the trick.
Generally, double tapping means zooming into whatever you tapped on your iPhone screen. If you are viewing a picture, video, web page, or email the double tap will zoom in. To zoom back out, just double tap again. If you are viewing the map the double tap will keep zooming in to more and more detailed view. And a two-fingered double tap will zoom back out. You can also magnify an image by just double tapping it.
For an instance, you want to have a larger view of a picture on a web page. The picture can be magnified two times its default size by just double tapping the it. And double tap again to return the picture to its size.
The Double Tap is an extension of the single tap. You may think that to double tap a single item on your iPhone screen will be rarely needed, because every icon and link on the interface seems to react with a simple one-tap motion. However, interfaces like in Photos, Video, Movies and Maps do react to double-tapping differently than if you were to only tap the screen once.

iPhone is a new generation of gadget for the young generation. Revolutionary approaches of Apple with their new touch screen technology, has drawn a lot of attention and great market hype.
Multimedia capabilities of iPhone are really impressive (iPod like music library, video including watching TV shows and films, 2.0 megapixel cam etc…)
But Apple corp. is closely associated with AT&T and that is something that is not functioning very well for all the end users. They have just locked your SIM card. For example in todays world many of us travel overseas. Now, your SIM card is locked and basically you can’t use your phone in the local network. If this is so, then it would be much more practical to have a practical phone which you will be able to use wherever you happen to be.
Luckily there is a solution for this trouble. There a a variety of unlock sim cards for 3G iphones on the market already. So far those sims are the only way to unlock iphone 3G. We have tested several best sims, as always there are differents between them. The number one of our choise is 3Gsim!
Users were delighted, but Apple didn’t fully share this enthusiasm because Apple has an exclusive contract with AT&T. That is the particular reason why you should be careful because if you make a mistake with the chose of your new unlock sim you can easily make yourself a variety of problems including the final one - the complete failure of your precious phone!
Internet was always full of various websites and respective sellers with different services. It ain’t easy to find a good service in that plethora of websites and choose a good instead of bad one, and quality and support aren’t something that is free.
When you search on internet for various kinds of services or goods, please be careful and evaluate the whole website. Those which have a professionally looking design, which are straight and easy to understand and which are good in keeping your privacy are the one which are the right choice. Always think about safe payment and technical support provided. Be careful and you will easily and safely unlock your 3G iPhone.

I often write about the dual sim imported iPhone clones. Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions and emails about the “new SciPhone,” or “flow touch SciPhone with the new firmware.” It seems there is a little bit of confusion about how this new release is different from the original. In this article, I’ll explain how the latest, upgraded version is different from the old one to help you decide whether the new one is significantly better.
Nothing Has Been Taken Away: Many people worry that the newer model may lack some of the features of the previous quite popular model. It doesn’t. Nothing has been deleted. The new version includes everything the old version had. There is still the Java 2.0 that allows for third party downloads, software, and applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). It can still accommodate up to 8GB of memory. It still has the two sim slots that allows you to have two phone numbers or use two networks. It still has the shake and tilt control where you can advance music and media through shaking the phone. And, it always did and still has all of the “everything in one phone” features we’ve come to expect, like: Bluetooth, FM radio, digital camera, web cam, MP3 / MP4, e book reader, etc.
The SciPhone’s New Firmware: The mid 2008 newer version of this phone includes updated firmware. If you check out any of the forums, they are full of people wanting to know how to download this onto their older models. Some say it can be done, and some claim that they have done it. Still, there seems to be a lot of frustration, confusion, and difficulty with this process. So, if you’re on the fence and trying to decide on the old or newer version of this phone, consider that it’s likely just much easier to buy the newer phone if this firmware issue is important to you.
“Menu Touch” Or “Flow Touch Control” On The New i68: People tend to call this feature different things. Whatever you call it, it’s the flow / finger touch interface (made popular by the iPhone) that allows you to scroll, cursor, drag, edit, and manipulate using only your fingers. This makes the phone very easy and quick to use. This is probably the biggest reason that folks prefer this new model over the old one.
Price wise, the upgraded i68 often cost a bit more than the old one, but this is often because you usually see the upgrades will more memory included. It is still a reasonably priced phone, often well under $150, with out a mandated contract.

Why Use a Portable GPS (Global Positioning System) Device?
A handheld GPS unit not only saves you a lot of time but also makes your commuting process easier and simpler than usual. These devices guide your way to unfamiliar…
We have the technology. Behold, the brand new iPhone 3G! In all its wonder, this new piece of equipment has single-handedly revolutionized cell phones now and forever. With more tricks and gimmicks than one could learn to use in a lifetime. It wouldn’t surprise me if it could keep you alive underwater!
But like almost every brand new technology these days, there are bound to be bugs involved. And this time, the iPhone 3G contains the whole colony. Widespread around the country (and around the world) is a panic of disappointment in the almighty iPhone and its lack of quality and reliability. Not only is it neither of those, there have also been complaints about almost every aspect of the phone. Just to list a few iPhone complaints:
The iPhone 3G doesn’t ring in sleep mode
It can’t sync notes except for using a web-based application which slows it down
Pulling up contacts to make a call slows the iPhone down immensely
Very hard to select text; even with an application that lets you copy, cut and paste
Notes are sometimes completely deleted one letter at a time if you hit Backspace
No removable battery - Must send to Apple to replace
But these are just some of the petty bugs that have been exposed about the iPhone. The main problems with the phone are of much greater importance. For example, the battery life is considered to be far below average and inferior to other cell phones that have been on the market for the past 5 years.
The lack of reception in certain areas has also been one of the largest topics of argument in iPhone complaint forums all over the web. One unsatisfied customer (alliphonecomplaints.com) Liza reports, “The AT&T signal bars now indicate the phone receives the highest signal in my home….but the calls invariably drop out. I can’t begin to say how frustrating that is!!! I could kick myself for buying this piece of…so I can dump the phone”.
The customer service provided by AT&T is said to be horrendous as well. Not to mention over a hundred iPhone complaints but one new customer said, “I had the phone less than 24 hours and AT&T wouldn’t replace it” (alliphonecomplaints.com). Originally, there was only one company providing service for the iPhone (AT&T). Can you say ‘monopoly’? Of course, now that problem has been fixed but this is just another issue going to show how many problems surround this new piece of technology. I could go on and on for light years about how many different complaints there have been regarding the new iPhone but it all boils down to one important understanding:
Overall, iPhone 3G is more of a toy than a useful tool that can be reliably used for conducting business. So if you love playing games, designing iPhone apps, and surfing the web to find weather stats in 4,901 different time zones, the iPhone 3G is perfect for you. But if you want reliability, great reception everywhere, great customer service and a flexible and competitive service plan, your best bet is to simply go with an alternative.

Garmin Versus TomTom
Caught between the thin red line of selecting the best GPS in town, depends on where you are stuck, in the Alps or in the Ural mountains, some might find the phrase…
Apple, the software maker is more popularly known as iPhone maker these days. It is the most hyped gadget of recent times with a spectacular launch.
Dream gadget of users, wannabe device for style definers, and luxury device for rich people; it fits to all in each category. Its boasting looks and features have left others far behind in the race.
iPhone has been debuted in Indian markets also and for no surprise, it is selling like hot cakes. Host for a bundle of features and most significantly the touchscreen, the device lacks many basic features which are wannabe these days.
The article will enlist all such features:
Absence of Video Recording is the most disappointing feature of the iPhone. For INR 31,000, feature’s presence was must to have as is today found in most basic cell phones even at lower ends.
No high resolution camera: When market is flooded with phones having camera up to 8 MP, 2MP camera is still a very disappointing feature. It is really a very petty feature. Above all, optical zoom and flash are also missing.
Forget Cut, Copy and Paste: With smart PDAs in the market cut, copy and paste is a feature that makes its presence to be felt. But Apple is not in the same bag. It has stayed away from it and no surprise, has invited the rage from users. Usually, every PDA in the market is equipped with this basic utility but with iPhone you will have to type word by word everything same rather than copying it from say, like web.
No Bluetooth: Sharing of files or data on phones using Bluetooth is a common practice with cell phone users. But it seems that Apple has forgotten the fact while designing iPhone. iPhone can’t sync with Bluetooth stereo or in-car Bluetooth hands-free. It lacks A2DP on Bluetooth.
No Replacable battery: Most funny thing, you cannot change the battery of a cell phone at your own. This is really irritating but if you are an iPhone user, you will have to face it. To replace the battery, you have to send it to Apple store and then sustain for 2-3 days which is really very stupid thing to do nowadays.
Forget about sending forwards and MMS: Making it simpler, in nut shell it can be said that you can only send text messages or snapshots of e-mail texts, but completely wipe it from your mind that you can use your iPhone for sending MMS occasionally to your friends. Even sending the same SMS to multiple contacts at single point of time is rather a no feature and simply saying sorry impression for users.
The next sorry feature is the absence of support for Adobe files. In simpler words, you cannot view Flash files on your iPhone. Thus, the lack of Flash support for the Safari Web browser limits the access of several websites on the iPhone.
Above all and may be the most disappointing feature, it is really a tedious job to get support from operators in setting iPhone. No support for customizing ring tones. The feature that misses it on the list of professional users is the “push” email feature which is enjoyed by all BlackBerry users and is the best way for them to stay in touch with office while physically away from that.

The Apple iPhone, super phone or super hype? Is this cell phone really the complete package that Apple purports it to be or is it all hype? Let us take a look at the facts and fiction about the Apple iPhone to see how it really stacks up against the advertising.
Ease of use, this is what Apple shows in all of its advertising. On this point, they hit it dead on. The Apple iPhone is extremely easy to use. If you can tap something with your finger or slide your finger along a screen you can use the iPhone without difficulty. For ease of use, the iPhone is a super phone.
Music listening and storage. As far as sound quality goes, the iPhone is great. A set of good quality stereo earbuds are required to enjoy the iPhone’s sound quality. To complete the upscale look of the iPhone, perhaps a set of Bluetooth stereo earphones are in orders. In the category of sound quality and music playback capability, the iPhone is a super phone.
Storage is another feature that Apple hypes the iPhone. With 6 GB, 8 GB, and now 16 GB, this seems like a tremendous amount of storage. Here is where the downfall is, you cannot upgrade the memory or use external memory such as memory cards or sticks. Therefore you are limited by the amount of content you can have on your iPhone. You cannot take content with you. A work around could be to store content on an internet site and swap it out when you want it. Any teenager I know can blow through even 16 GB of music in an amazingly short amount of time. If you add in videos and TV shows, 16 GB becomes filled rather quickly. In the storage department, the Apple iPhone becomes hype instead of a super phone.
What about battery life. Here is where there is no hype at all: actually Apple has very little to say about the iPhone’s battery. Here is why. You cannot change it. Most cell phones have a removable battery. This way if it dies, you change it out with a new one. The iPhone lacks this capability. Once that battery dies and will no longer hold a charge, you need a new phone. The reason Apple is so quite about the battery is probably due to the current litigation surrounding this. Is this hype or super phone? Neither one. The battery issue definitely does not qualify it as a super phone. Apple has said very little so there really is no hype involved. Perhaps we should just categorize this as buyer beware.
What about that touch screen? This is where you see the Apple iPhone hyped to the max. Is this super phone or hype? The touch screen is super sensitive. If your phone hits up against something in your pocketbook, or knocks into something while you are getting in and out of your car, you can end up calling people or having your iPhone do something weird. The touch screen does allow you to easily manipulate the iPhone. Overall, the touch screen ranks it as super phone not hype. Just be careful with it.
Next there is internet access. All of the commercials for the Apple iPhone show it as a super phone when it comes to internet access. You can use any WiFi to contact friends on Facebook or watch content on YouTube. Well, the browser needs better search capabilities. This is one area where the iPhone is lacking. Another is that the iPhone’s browser does not store password. This was most likely a security feature that Apple built in. Personally, you are better off it does not store your passwords. In general WiFi networks are not secure, and you do not want your banking access information readily available to the public. Is this super phone or hyper. I will give them super phone on this one although it is not any different than any other smart phone out there.
The Apple iPhone, super phone or hype? It is looking like it comes out as a super phone. Especially if you want the music and internet capabilities.
